Announcing our 2011 issue!! 


 We at Reed are proud to present Volume 64, our 2011 issue. This issue features a robust collection of the best fiction, nonfiction, poetry and artwork of all our 2010 submissions.  This issue includes an exclusive interview with writer Carl Phillips, as well as the winners of our John Steinbeck and Edwin Markham prizes in fiction and poetry, respectively. The winners of this issue's prizes, guest-judged by Daniel Alarcón and Marilyn Chin, are:

 GENERAL SUBMISSIONS

We accept submissions:  June 1 - November 1.  We look forward to receiving your work!

PROSE: All prose submissions must be double-spaced, in 12 pt. font (no fancy fonts, please).  Please include contact information (name, address, phone, e-mail) on the first page. You may submit as many stories or essays as you like. Please send us your best work.

Fiction: 6,000 word maximum.  

Nonfiction: 3,000 word maximum.

POETRY: Poems may be typed single- or double-spaced, in 12 pt. font (no fancy fonts, please).  Please include contact information (name, address, phone, e-mail) on the first page. You may submit up to 5 poems.

ART:  We accept all forms of art, so long as they are in a digital format.
