Reed Magazine: Issue 150

This milestone issue represents Reed Magazine’s 150th year of publication. We celebrated our sesquicentennial with a gorgeous redesign and by adopting a new, more accurate, issue numbering system. This blockbuster issue features 332 pages of poetry, fiction, personal essays, and art, our most expansive edition yet. In these pages you will find new fiction and nonfiction from such literary luminaries as Cristina García and Vendela Vida, as well as groundbreaking hybrid works such as Shanee Stepakoff’s winning entry for the Gabriele Rico Challenge, “Three Witnesses and One Silence from the Special Court for Sierra Leone,” a daring fusion of poetry and reportage reminiscent of the work of Muriel Rukeyser. The winner of the Mary Blair Award for Art, Gracie CT, is a young artist from Oakland whose photographic portfolio explores the past as a way to understand the present, ingeniously combining tradition and ultramodernity in order to create entirely new worlds. A perfect metaphor for the creative venture that is Reed Magazine!
