As an artist and graphic designer, Simone Sannazzaro enjoys working with a variety of styles, themes, and mediums to create visually appealing designs. Her hometown of South Lake Tahoe, traveling, life, and dreams inspire her creations, along with classical, surreal, and psychedelic art. Crans is composed of leftover crayons from her childhood.

She is the author of two chapbooks, Blackbird Songs (Prolific Press, 2019) and It's Time (Finishing Line Press, 2024) and teaches English and creative writing in Louisville, Kentucky.

Growing up in Southeast Louisiana, outside of New Orleans, Shelbey grew up around many storytellers. As a young girl, she had always navigated the world through visual art. Later in her life, she studied cultural ethnography, in college, and fused it with her visual art in order to create her own unique voice and way of storytelling. Shelbey never liked being a townie, so she often travels through the United States and really enjoys international travel, always seeking new inspiration for her media.
