Reed Magazine: Issue 153 e-book

Reed Magazine: Issue 153 includes spotlights of National Book Award–winning author Jonathan Franzen, Griffin Poetry Prize–winning poet Brenda Hillman, as well as works from Young People’s Poet Laureate Naomi Shihab Nye and Poet Laureate for Texas Emmy Pérez. Our contributors span six different countries and our contest winners cover topics as diverse as the loss of a child, a small-town advice column, and the difficulties of modern political dialogue. This edition features a portfolio of new art from Anya Kotler and is rounded out by “Gilroy Strong: A Community Speaks,” a collection of first-hand narratives from those who lived through the 2019 Gilroy Garlic Festival mass shooting. Featuring Pushcart Prize-winning poem "Father's Belt" by Kurt Luchs.
